Kohima, July 30 (EMN): The high powered committee (HPC) on Covid-19 has decided to continue with the ongoing lockdown measures in Nagaland till August 31.
This was informed by the minister for Planning and Co-ordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu, on Thursday.
Speaking to journalists in Kohima, Kronu said that the decision was taken during the HPC meeting held on July 30. He added that a new standard operating procedure (SOP) will be introduced soon.
Kronu reiterated that the HPC has empowered the district task forces to impose total lockdown in their respective districts.
He also informed that educational institutions — schools and colleges — will remain closed during the lockdown period.
