Nagaland election 2023: First nomination paper filed on Day-4

The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Nagaland, has informed that one candidate has files nomination on the fourth day, February 3, to contest in the upcoming Nagaland general election.
As per the official update, Hayithung Tungoe Lotha filed nomination as an Independent candidate from 37-Tyui Assembly Constituency under Wokha district, on Friday.
“Since the announcement of election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, he is the first candidate to file nomination on Day-4,” read the update.
It may be mentioned that filing of nominations for Nagaland assembly election, which began on January 31, will be closed on February 7. Voting is scheduled to be held on February 27 and counting of votes to be done on March 2.
