The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) has informed that no candidate has filed nomination on the second day, February 1, to contest in the upcoming Nagaland general election, as per the information received from the returning officers for the entire 60 assembly constituencies.
Filing of nominations for Nagaland assembly election, which began on Tuesday, will be closed on February 7 before scrutinising it the following day, while the last date of withdrawal of candidatures is Feb. 10.
Polling is scheduled to be held on February 27 and counting of votes to be done on March 2.
