District Planning and Development Board meetings across multiple Nagaland districts reviewed development plans, infrastructure issues, and upcoming proposals.

DIMAPUR — The district and sub-divisional planning and development board meetings were held in Kiphire, Tuensang, Noklak, and Bhandari recently, while the Dimapur District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting is scheduled for November 26.
Kiphire: The DPDB meeting of Kiphire was held under the chairmanship of Temsuwati Longkumer, deputy commissioner (DC) and vice chairman of DPDB Kiphire, on Wednesday at DC conference hall, Kiphire.
According to a DIPR meeting briefing on the agenda, the board constituted a verification committee for the implementation of LADP 2025–2026. The DC reminded the board members to submit the proposal three to four days ahead of the DPDB meeting.
The DC also informed the head of offices to ensure that the land is free from any encumbrances while taking up the project in the future. He also directed the concerned line departments to submit their respective key performance reports (KPR) before December 15.
The board also decided that the next DPDB meeting cum pre-Christmas picnic will be held on December 12.
Tuensang: The DPDB Tuensang meeting-cum-annual picnic was held at Konya village, Tuensang, on Wednesday under the chairmanship of P Bashangmongba Chang, minister for Housing and Mechanical (PWD) and chairman of DPDB Tuensang.

After reviewing the last meeting minutes, the board discussed the nomenclature change of St. Xavier School to Langba Academy, which was approved by the board. The board also discussed the maintenance of BRO Road in Tuensang town.
In this regard, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, DC Tuensang, highlighted a joint meeting to be held with tribal bodies and the department along NH 202 in the days to come. Earlier in the morning, Bashangmongba inaugurated Sikai Water Body construction under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana – Har Khet Ko Pani (PMKSY-HKKY) by the Water Resources Department (WRD).
Chingmak, WRD Tuensang, highlighted the activities of the department and stated that the watershed project has been taken up by the department and the first phase has been completed successfully. He also urged the line departments like fisheries, forest and tourism to take initiative and come forward in making Sikai Water Body a tourist spot.
Noklak: The DPDB Noklak held its monthly meeting on November 18 at DC conference hall, Noklak. The meeting was chaired by P Longon, MLA and chairman of DPDB Noklak, and Bunei M Lamthio, MLA, also attended the meeting.
The meeting began by reviewing the last meeting minutes and submission of the proposal and the status reports of the department for the acquisition of land for the government department in the district was reminded by the chairman for the early submission of their proposal.
As suggested by the deputy commissioner, the next DPDB meeting will be held on December 19. The Department of Agriculture and ATMA presented their developmental activities during the meeting. The meeting concluded with a word of thanks from the chairman.
Bhandari: The monthly meeting of the Bhandari Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) was held on November 18 at the conference hall of the summer house-cum-guest house, Bhandari, Wokha.
The meeting was chaired by Longasen Lotha, ADC and vice chairman of SDPDB Bhandari.
Dr. Kikali G Sumi, VAS Merapani, briefed about the awareness on disease economic emergency and zoonotic importance under assistance to the state for control of animal diseases conducted at various villages. She also said that free veterinary aids were distributed and pets were vaccinated and informed the board that the situation is now under control.
In the meeting, the LLRPO president appealed to the authority that the Foothills Road work be completed early and urged the people to cooperate with any developmental activities undertaken in their land. He also appreciated Achumbemo Kikon, MLA, for taking the initiative for the betterment and welfare of the people.
The ADC informed the board that the programme for the Pre-Christmas-cum-SDPDB meeting for the month of December will be held at Ralan.
Dimapur: The DPDB meeting for Dimapur district will be held on November 26 at 11 am in the DC Conference Hall, Dimapur. Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, DC and DPDB vice chairman of Dimapur, requested all members to attend the meeting.
