Nagaland DGP launches Dimapur Police’s website

Dimapur, Sep. 10: Director General of Police (DGP), Nagaland, TJ Longkumer (IPS), formally launched the Dimapur police website, www.dimapurpolice.in on September 10 at the Dimapur Police Commissioners Office.
In his brief address, Longkumer, who is also on his maiden visit to the commissioner’s office, lauded the various achievements made by Dimapur Police. He highlighted on certain challenges that lie ahead and the need to accordingly strategize and upgrade the current system of the district policing.
He also interacted with the officers and staffs of the office and assured to extend full co-operation and assistance to everyone.
Since the opening of the website in 2015, about 4000 visitors have accessed the website. Several features of the previous version have been incorporated in the present version to make it more vibrant and visitor friendly.
It was informed that in order to make the website more informative and interactive, the present website has added features which will be one of its first to be provided by any district police in Nagaland.

Police verification: online police verification where a citizen can easily apply online for police verification by filling his or her details online at any time without having to visit the police station.
Lost Reports: Report lost of mobile phones, or wants to obtain the same mobile number and other related matter.
Wanted List: Citizens can view the persons wanted by police with regard to different cases and assist the law enforcing agencies in different manners.
It will also include a missing person page too for the public to trace and inform the police.
Contact us: A citizen can send his/her complaints, suggestions, information etc. to the police directly. Anonymity and confidentiality will be maintained and acts as a useful platform for citizens to connect with Dimapur Police.
An archive page: The new version also has an archive page which will record the activities of the Dimapur Police and will act as a Digital Record for the days to come.
