Deputy Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, S Toiho Yeptho, inaugurates multipurpose hall at Naltoqa town, Suruhuto, in Zunheboto district

DIMAPUR — Deputy Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, S Toiho Yeptho, on Tuesday inaugurated a multipurpose hall at Naltoqa town, Suruhuto, in Zunheboto district.
According to an update, the project was funded under Article 275 (1) for the year 2023–24 by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
The Deputy Speaker was accompanied by his wife Tosheli Zhimomi; Director of Social Welfare; Commandant of 8th NAP; head dobashi of Suruhuto; PRO to the Deputy Speaker; president and colleagues of NPF 33 A/C; and village chiefs.
“The inauguration of the multipurpose hall marks a significant boost to community infrastructure and is expected to serve as an important venue for social, cultural, and developmental activities in the region,” the update stated.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Speaker also inaugurated the CRIF road connecting Naltoqa Junction to CRIF Phuye Junction under Suruhuto Assembly Constituency. The project was funded under SASCI 2023–24 and Development (State) Fund 2024–25.

The inauguration programme was attended, among others, by Director of Social Welfare, Ihoto Rochill; head DB of Suruhuto headquarters; president and general secretary of NPF 33 A/C Suruhuto; along with village chiefs and leaders from neighbouring areas.
Addressing the gathering, Yeptho stated that improved road connectivity is essential for the overall development of rural areas, ensuring better access to markets, healthcare, education, and other basic services.
He further urged the public to cooperate in maintaining the road for long-term use.
