Urban Development bid adieu to retiring director and registrar

Dimapur/ Kohima, Sep. 30 (EMN): Departments of Urban Development, Health and Family Welfare and Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship bade farewell to retiring officers on September 30.
UD: Urban Development bade farewell to its director, S Takatuba Aier, and registrar, Rita Luho, during a programme held at its directorate in Kohima.
Extending best wishes to the two outgoing officers, the advisor of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Neikiesalie Kire, urged them to continue serving the people in different capacities.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=6]Dr. Kire added that though they may part ways, they should continue to remember and pray for one another and extended his assistance to the department whenever required.
The principal secretary of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, I Himato Zhimomi, stated that retiring from government service is not the end of one's journey as one could still embark on new careers and do much better than the previous job.
He congratulated the two officials for departing in good health after three decades of service.
Head of Municipal Affairs, Chenithung Lotha; joint director of Urban Development, Tarachu Fithu, and assistant director, Kiniholi Kinimi, as well as members from Nagaland Physical Planners Association (NPPA) also spoke on the occasion.
In his farewell speech, S Takatuba Aier, recalled the stiff challenges he faced while being posted to different districts in the state. He recounted the early days on how they had to discharge their duties despite threats from various underground factions.
Aier anticipated that 'with help of the government, such hardships must disappear soon' so that employees could perform their duties peacefully.
He further wished his successor and officers and staff to continue contributing in order to take the department to greater heights as well as for the welfare of the people.
Narrating how she joined the government service in 1987 starting from DC’s office, Rita Luho stated that she was privileged to be a part of the department and retiring in good health.
She said that serving in the department had benefited her professionally and personally.
H&FW: The department of Health and Family Welfare bade farewell to its outgoing additional director, Dr. Kechongol Sophie, and the joint director, Dr. Vinotsole Khamo, during a programme held on September 30 at IDSP conference hall.
Speaking on the occasion, the principal director of Health and Family Welfare department, Dr. K Vikato Kinimi, lauded the outgoing officers for their services and congratulated them for retiring in good health. He further wished them a happy retirement life.
The outgoing officer, Dr. Kechongol Sophie, mentioned that one should avoid committing mistakes by skipping experience as an officer and to overcome laziness. He encouraged the officers and staff to perform duties with diligence in order to retired with satisfaction.
Also speaking on the occasion, Dr. Vinotsole Khamo encouraged the officers to always remember that doctors are given a very special job--the only career where the profession never retired. He advised them to continue contributing their services towards the society.
ESD&E: Directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship bade farewell to its outgoing director, Chiden Yaden, held at the multipurpose hall of its directorate in Kohima.
Speaking on the occasion, the joint director, Savio Visa, stated that Yaden was always quick to share his ideas and opinions adding his decisions were always on the right track.
While appreciating his expertise on many projects and programme, he stated that the department would remember his contributions.
In his farewell speech, Chiden Yaden has attributed all the successes to the hard work and the sense of teamwork rendered by his colleagues. He encouraged the district officers to give their best in their assigned responsibility. He thanked the colleagues for standing by him during his stay in the directorate.
The secretary, Rajesh Soundararajan, lauded the outgoing officer for his commendable service adding that the directorate could scale to new heights under his leadership. Soudararajan stated that the outgoing officer has been instrumental in touching the lives of more than 50,000 people. He concluded by saying that Yaden has a quality to treat everyone with same respect and courtesy.
