Nagaland debuts in T20 nationals

Dimapur, Feb. 21 (EMN): Nagaland on Thursday made its debut in the senior men’s T20 trophy at Vijayawada in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy.
The Nagaland team played against Jammu and Kashmir, where skipper Jonathan Rongsen lost the toss and was put to bat by Jammu and Kashmir skipper Parvez Rasool, stated the Nagaland Cricket Association.
After a poor start Nagaland managed to score 136 for 6 wickets in 20 overs.
The Jammu and Kashmir team is boosted by two Indian International team players Irfan Pathan and Parvez Rasool in their line up.

Nagaland lost by 9 wickets after Jammu and Kashmir scored the required runs in 15.5 overs losing only one wicket. Young off-spinner of Nagaland, Tahmeed Rahman took lone wicket that fell.

For Nagaland Tahmeed Rahman took 1 for 27 runs.

The note from the NCA officials also stated that the match against Andhra Pradesh on Feb.22 and the match against Kerala on Feb. 28 will be telecast live on Star Sports 2.
