Nagaland: Curtain on Immanuel College sports meet

Dimapur, Dec. 9 (EMN): The 28th annual sports meet of Immanuel College, Dimapur, on the theme ‘Stars to shine yet’ which commenced on December 7, concluded on Friday.

An update informed that the sports meet was held simultaneously at the State Stadium ground and college campus.

The meet began with an inaugural programme where the college principal, Th. Sharatchandra Singh, in his address encouraged the students to take active part in sports as they are vital for the overall growth of students.

The three-day event included football, volleyball, tug-of-war, kho kho, badminton, carom, high jump, long jump, basketball, e sports (BGMI &ML),table tennis and arm wrestling. In the closing ceremony, assistant professor (dept. of Education) and convenor, sports committee, Temjen Longkumer, proposed vote of thanks, followed by prize distribution. Blue house emerged as the overall champions of the sports meet, it stated.
