Nagaland Covid update: Caseload soars past 8000-mark

Dimapur, Oct. 20 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 67 new Covid-19 positive cases on Tuesday, taking the state’s tally to 8020.
This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.
’67 positive cases of Covid-19 were detected today (Tuesday); Dimapur-38, Kohima-13, Tuensang-11, Mon-5. Also, 60 positive patients have recovered; Tuensang-27, Kohima and Mon 13 each and Dimapur-7,’ tweeted the minister.
According to information provided by the Health department, Nagaland has 1657 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1576 are asymptomatic, 62 mild, 13 moderate, 3 severe on oxygen and 3 on ventilator. The state has also recorded 6267 recoveries and 28 deaths, out which six are ‘not Covid-related’.
In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 1150 cases, followed by Kohima-345, Mokokchung-58, Mon-49, Peren-24,Tuensang-19, Zunheboto-7, Longleng-3 and Phek and Kiphire one each while Wokha has zero cases so far.
