Nagaland Covid update: 16 new cases

Dimapur, Dec. 21 (EMN):
Nagaland recorded 16 new Covid-19 positive cases on Monday, taking the state’s tally to 11,858.

This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.

‘16 positive cases of Covid-19 were detected today: Dimapur-9 and Kohima-7. Also, 50 positive patients have recovered: Kohima-38, Dimapur and Tuensang six each,’ tweeted the minister. 

According to information provided by the Health department, Nagaland has 462 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 420 are asymptomatic, 27 mild, 10 moderate on oxygen, four severe on oxygen and one on ventilator.

The state has also recorded 11,194 recoveries and 73 deaths, out of which 10 are ‘not Covid-related’.

In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Kohima leads with 211 cases, followed by Dimapur-159, Mokokchung-41, Peren-19, Kiphire-14, Mon-13, Tuensang-3, Phek-2 while Wokha, Zunheboto and Longleng have zero cases so far.
