Dimapur, Nov. 11 (EMN): The total number of Covid-19 cases has reached 9578 in Nagaland with 42 new cases detected on Wednesday.
The minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, informed through an update on Wednesday that 42 new Covid-19 cases -- Dimapur- 26, Kohima- 7, Mon- 4, Tuensang- 2, and one each in Mokokchung, Peren and Zunheboto -- were recorded in the state.
The minister added that the state also recorded 90 recoveries -- Dimapur- 64, Tuensang- 12, Kohima- 11, Zunheboto- 2, and Kiphire- 1.
According to information provided by Health department, there are 838 active Covid cases in the state, out of which 781 are asymptomatic, 28 mild, 10 moderate on oxygen, 12 severe on oxygen, three critical without oxygen and four critical on ventilator. The state has also recorded 8595 recoveries so far and 50 deaths, out of which six are 'not Covid-related'.
In terms of district-wise distribution of active Covid-cases, Dimapur leads with 1518, followed by Kohima-213, Mon-87, Peren-8, Mokokchung-7, Tuensang-3, and one each in Phek and Zunheboto, while there are no cases in Kiphire, Longleng and Wokha are currently.
