Nagaland Covid-19 update: Tally touches 8139 as 119 new cases detected

Dimapur, Oct. 21 (EMN):
The total number of Covid-19 cases in Nagaland has reached 8139 with 119 new positive cases recorded on Wednesday.

This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.

‘119 positive Covid-19 cases were detected today (Wednesday); Dimapur-90, Kohima-20, Mon-5, and Peren-4,” tweeted the minister.  ‘Also, 93 patients have recovered; Kohima-66, Dimapur-26, and Phek-1,’ he added.

According to the update by the Health department, Nagaland currently has 1682 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1596 are asymptomatic, 64 mild, 16 moderate on oxygen, three severe on oxygen, and three on ventilators. The state also reported 6360 recoveries and 28 deaths out of which six are ‘not Covid-related’.

In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with  1213 cases, followed by Kohima-299, Mokokchung-58, Mon-54, Peren-28, Tuensang-19, Zunheboto-7, Longleng-3 and Kihire-1, while Phek and Wokha currently have no positive cases.
