Nagaland Covid-19 update: Tally rises to 6949 as 61 new cases detected

Dimapur, Oct. 10 (EMN):
Nagaland recorded 61 new Covid-19 cases on Saturday, taking the state’s tally to 6949.

This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.

“61 positive cases of Covid-19 detected today. Kohima-43, Dimapur-12, Tuensang and Longleng 2 each, Mokokchung and Peren-1 each. Also, 33 patients have been recovered. Dimapur-27 and Kohima-6,” tweeted the minister.

According to information provided by the Health department, the state has 1232 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1173 are asymptomatic, 46 mild, 11 moderate, one severe and one on ventilator. The state has also recorded 5635 recoveries and 17 deaths, out of which five have been declared “not Covid-related”.

In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 779, followed by Kohima-316, Mon-82, Tuensang-24, Mokokchung and Peren with 13 each, Longleng-4 and Phek-1, while Wokha, Zunheboto and Kiphire have zero case so far.
