Nagaland Covid-19 update: Tally rises to 6736 as 21 new cases detected

Dimapur, Oct. 8 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 21 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday, taking the state’s tally to 6736.
This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.
‘21 positive cases of Covid-19 were detected on Thursday. Kohima-17, Dimapur-7, and one each in Peren and Mon. Also, 66 patients have been discharged: Kohima-59 and Dimapur-7,’ tweeted the minister.
According to information provided by the Health department, Nagaland currently has 1149 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1096 are asymptomatic, 40 mild, 10 moderate, one severe and two on ventilators. The state also has recorded 5510 recoveries and 17 deaths, out of which five have been declared ‘not Covid-related’.
In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 739, followed by Kohima-274, Mon-81, Tuensang-31, Mokokchung-11, Peren-11 and one each in Longleng and Phek, while Wokha, Zunheboto and Kiphire have zero cases so far.
