Nagaland Covid-19 update: Seven more test positive; total cases rise to 25

Dimapur, May 29 (EMN): Seven more returnees from Chennai have been tested positive for Covid-19 case at the bio-safety level 3 (BSL-3) virology lab in Kohima on Friday, taking the total cases in Nagaland to 25 so far. Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom updated in his tweet early on Friday.
He tweeted: “Two more tested positive for Covid-19. Both are returnees from Chennai. 1 from Dimapur and 1 from Tuensang.”
His second tweet read: “5 more tested positive of Covid-19. 1 at Dimapur & 4 at Kohima. All returnees from Chennai,” Phom updated at 7:19 am on Friday.
Nagaland so far has 25 Covid-19 positive cases.
Among the seven new cases, four cases are from Kohima, two from Dimapur and one from Tuensang.
Nagaland recorded its first three Covid-19 positive cases on May 25. The fourth case was reported on May 26. Five more were recorded on Wednesday taking the positive cases to nine on May 27.
The cases doubled on May 28 as the state recorded nine positive cases, the highest positive cases in a single day was on Thursday.
