Nagaland Covid-19 update: Results of 4 suspected samples awaited

Dimapur, April 12 (EMN): Nagaland state has sent a total of 74 samples of Covid-19 suspected cases for testing but no positive cases have been reported so far, informed an update from Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha on Sunday.

“As at 5:00 pm today (April 12), a total of 74 samples of suspected cases have been sent for testing from the state. The results of 70 samples have been received and they are all negative. The results of the remaining 4 samples are awaited,” Sinha informed.

The total number of persons who are presently under home quarantine is 407; a total of 28 are at facility quarantine, while 5459 have come out of home quarantine, he added.

“I would like to inform that anyone who is on home quarantine or has come out of quarantine, develops any signs and symptoms of cough, fever or has difficulty in breathing, the concerned person should contact the state Helpline numbers, 9856071745, 7005539653 of the Health department,” he stated.

He went on to inform that the position of availability of essential commodities and goods continues to be comfortable in the state and thanked the public for their continued support and adherence to the lockdown provisions.

According to the department of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of people screened (transporters/ cargo movement; intra/ inter district movement) in the state as of 4 pm on April 11 was 793, with Kohima leading at 416, followed by Dimapur (155), Tuensang (76), Mokokchung (54), Zunheboto (26), Phek (21), Wokha (20), Kiphire (11), Mon (10), and Longleng (4), while Peren registered nil again.
