Nagaland Covid-19 update: One more tested positive; total active cases stands at 118

Dimapur, June 10 (EMN): One more returnees have tested positive for Covid-19 at the BSl-3 lab at Kohima on Wednesday, taking the total number of the positive cases in Nagaland to 128.

This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, through a social media update on Wednesday morning.

“Out of 273 samples tested, 1 new case of Covid-19 positive from Kohima Quarantine centre have been reported in the last 24 hours,” the minister tweeted.

Till date, Health authorities in Nagaland have declared 10 patients as ‘recovered’. Eight patients recovered on June 6 and two on June 9.

Nagaland recorded its first three Covid-19 positive cases on May 25. The number of positive cases breached 100-mark on June 6 as 13 returnees from Chennai tested positive for the virus, taking the state’s tally to 107 on June 6.

With today’s one positive case, Dimapur has 92 active cases, followed by Kohima with 20 cases. Tuensang has five cases and one case from Peren has been reported so far.

As on June 10, Nagaland has 128 positive cases, out of which, 118 cases are active; while eight patient recovered from the virus on June 6, and two patients recovered on June 9.
