Nagaland Covid-19 update: Four more tested positive; total tally at 375

Dimapur, June 27 (EMN): Four fresh cases of Covid-19 have been reported as returnees tested positive for the virus on June 27, Saturday, taking the total number of positive cases to 375 in the state.

This was informed by the Minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, through a social media update on Saturday morning.

“4 new cases of Covid-19 positive have been reported out of 393 samples tested. All patients are from Dimapur QC,” the minister tweeted at 9:30 am on Saturday morning.

Till date, Health authorities in Nagaland have declared 162 patients as ‘recovered’. As per the Health department’s update, there are 213 active cases in the state.

It may be mentioned that Nagaland recorded its first Covid-19 positive cases on May 25 when three returnees tested positive for the virus.

The number of positive cases breached 100-mark as 13 returnees from Chennai tested positive for the virus, taking the state’s tally to 107 on June 6.

Subsequently, the number of positive cases crossed the 300-mark of Covid-19 cases as 50 returnees tested positive for the virus, taking the state’s tally to 330 on June 23.

Meanwhile, the number of Covid-19 recovered cases in the state reached 100-mark on June 16 as 11 more returnees tested negative for Covid-19 in their second tests on Tuesday, taking the recovery tally to 103 in the state.

As of June 27, Peren has 80 active cases, followed by Kohima with 66 active cases; Dimapur has 37 active cases; Mon with 23 active cases; Tuensang and Zunheboto has three active cases respectively and Phek has one active case.
