Nagaland Covid-19 update: Eleven more cases detected; tally at 743

Dimapur, July 11 (EMN): Eleven more cases of Covid-19 positive have been reported on Saturday, July 11 taking the total tally of the state to 743.

This was informed by the minister of Health, S Pangnyu Phom, through a social media update on Saturday.

“Out of 310 samples tested, 11 more positive cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed. 7 in Kohima, 3 in Mon & 1 in Mokokchung,” the minister tweeted on Saturday morning.

Till date, Health authorities in Nagaland have declared 304 patients as ‘recovered’ and 439 active cases in the state.

It may be mentioned that Nagaland recorded its first Covid-19 positive cases on May 25 when three returnees tested positive for the virus.

The number of positive cases breached 100-mark as 13 returnees from Chennai tested positive for the virus, taking the state’s tally to 107 on June 6.

As of July 11, Peren has the highest cases among the districts with 139 active cases; followed by Kohima with 94 active cases; Dimapur with 83 active cases (four mild cases); Mon with 76 cases; Tuensang with 29 cases and Phek with 12 cases, Mokokchung have four cases, Wokha and Zunheboto with one case each.
