Dimapur, Aug. 12 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 87 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the state’s tally to 3,118.
This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, through an update.
“87 new positive cases of Covid-19 have been detected out of 614 samples tested. 48 in Dimapur, 35 in Kohima, 3 in Zunheboto and 1 in Wokha. Necessary Contact tracing have been activated” the minister tweeted.
According to the information provided by the Health department till the time of filing this report, the state has 1987 active Covid-19 cases, 1113 recoveries and eight deaths.
In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 1308 active cases, followed by Kohima - 553 Mon - 159, Peren - 15 , Phek - 3, Mokokchung - 5 and Zunheboto - 62, Wokha - 9, and Tuensang – 2. Longleng and Kiphire districts are coronavirus-free so far.
