Nagaland Covid-19 update: 79 new cases detected; tally at 8515

Dimapur, Oct. 24 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 79 new Covid-19 positive cases on Saturday, taking the state’s tally to 8515.
This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.
’79 positive cases of Covid-19 were detected today (Saturday); Dimapur-44, Kohima-23, Tuensang-5, Zunheboto-4, Mon-2 and Kiphire-1. Also, 98 positive patients have recovered; Dimapur-82, Kohima-12 and Mon-4,’ tweeted the minister.
According to information provided by the Health department, Nagaland has 1815 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1727 are asymptomatic, 66 mild, 16 moderate, two severe on oxygen and four on ventilator. The state has also recorded 6598 recoveries and 30 deaths, out which six are ‘not Covid-related’.
In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 1342 cases, followed by Kohima-296, Mokokchung-61, Mon-53, Tuensang-25, Peren-21, ,Zunheboto-11 and Kiphire-4, while Phek, Wokha and Longleng have zero cases so far.
