Dimapur, Aug. 7 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 77 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, taking the state's tally to 2,657.
This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, in an update on Friday.
‘Tested 707 samples for Covid-19, out of which 77 cases came out positive -- seventy-four cases in Dimapur, three in Kohima. Necessary contact tracing have been activated and all primary contacts are in self-isolation,’ the minister tweeted.
According to information provided by the Health department till the time of filing this report, the state has 1829 active Covid-19 cases, 819 recoveries and six deaths.
In regards to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 1163 active cases, followed by Kohima – 408, Mon – 164, Peren – 3, Phek – 14, Mokokchung – 7, Zunheboto – 57, Wokha – 12, and Tuensang – 1. Longleng and Kiphire districts are coronavirus-free.
