Nagaland Covid-19 update: 65 new cases detected

Dimapur, Aug. 18 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 65 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, taking the state’s tally to 3520.
This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.
“65 new positive cases of Covid-19 have been detected out of 503 samples tested. 41 in Kohima, 23 in Dimapur and 1 in Mon. Necessary Contact tracing has been activated,” the minister tweeted.

State reports 127 recoveries of COVID-19 patients.
79 from Dimapur, 29 from Kohima & 19 from Zunheboto.
However, all the recovered patients will be kept under strict surveillance.
According to the latest tweet by the state health minister, Nagaland has recorded 127 recoveries on Tuesday.
According to the information provided by the Health department till the time of filing this report, the state has 1849 active Covid-19 cases, 1657 recoveries and eight deaths.
In regard to the district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 1150 active cases, followed by Kohima – 693, Zunheboto – 84, Mon – 72, Peren – 14, Wokha – 8, Mokokchung – 2 and Tuensang – 3.
Longleng, Phek and Kiphire districts are currently coronavirus-free.
