Nagaland Covid-19 update: 59 new cases take state’s tally to 5730

Dimapur, Sep. 24 (EMN): The total number of Covid-19 cases in Nagaland has reached 5730 with 59 new cases being recorded on Thursday.

The minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, informed through an update on September 24 that ‘out of 716 results received, 59 were Covid-19 positive -- 46 in Dimapur, eight in Kohima, four in Zunheboto and one in Mon’.

‘The state also reported 89 recoveries -- 45 from Kohima, 39 from Dimapur, three from Zunheboto and two from Tuensang,’ he added.

According to the update by the Health department, Nagaland currently has 1089 Covid-19 active cases, 4598 recoveries and 11 deaths.

In regard to district-wise distribution of active cases, Dimapur leads with 744, followed by Kohima-298, Mokokchung-17, Mon-13, Zunheboto-6, Peren-4, Tuensang-4, and Phek-1. Longleng and Wokha districts currently have zero active cases.
