Dimapur, Aug. 16 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 54 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, taking the state's tally to 3394.
This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.
"54 new positive cases of Covid-19 have been detected out of 599 samples tested. 26 in Kohima, 21 in Dimapur, 7 in Zunheboton. Necessary Contact tracing have been activated," the minister tweeted.
According to the information provided by the Health department till the time of filing this report, the state has 2059 active Covid-19 cases, 1321 recoveries and eight deaths.
In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 1222 active cases, followed by Kohima – 606 Mon - 116, Peren - 14 , Phek - 2, Mokokchung - 2 and Zunheboto - 82, Wokha - 8, and Tuensang - 3. Longleng and Kiphire districts are currently coronavirus-free.
