Nagaland Covid-19 update: 53 new cases take state’s tally to 6715

Dimapur, Oct. 7 (EMN): The total number of Covid-19 cases in Nagaland has reached 6715 with 53 new cases reported on Wednesday.
This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.
‘53 new Covid-19 cases were detected on October 7, out of which 37 were from Dimapur, eight from Kohima, six from Peren, and one each from Mokokchung and Phek,’ the minister tweeted.
‘The state also recorded 36 recoveries — Dimapur-28, Kohima- 4, Zunheboto- 2, and one each in Mon and Wokha,’ he added.
According to the information provided by the Health department, Nagaland currently has 1194 active cases, out of which 1142 are asymptomatic, 41 mild, six moderate, one severe, two with oxygen, and two on ventilator. The state has also recorded 5444 recoveries and 12 deaths so far.
District-wise breakup of Covid-19 active cases shows that Dimapur leads with 744, followed by Kohima-316, Mon-80, Tuensang-31, Mokokchung-11, Peren-10, and one each in Phek and Longleng, while Kiphire, Zunheboto and Wokha have zero cases.
