Nagaland Covid-19 update: 43 new cases take state’s tally to 5306

Dimapur, Sep. 17 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 43 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday, taking the state’s tally to 5306.

This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.

“Out of 421 results received, 43 positive cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed. 24 in Dimapur, 18 in Kohima and one in Mon,” the minister tweeted.

He added that the state also recorded 111 recoveries — 80 from Dimapur, 30 from Kohima and one from Zunheboto.

According to the information provided by the Health department till the time of filing this report, the state has 1304 active Covid-19 cases, 4079 recoveries and 10 deaths.

In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 737, followed by Kohima- 396, Mon – 25, Mokokchung-13, Tuensang 4, three each in Zunheboto and Peren, Kiphire-2 and Wokha-1. Phek and Longleng districts are currently coronavirus-free.
