Nagaland Covid-19 update: 39 new cases detected; tally rises to 11418

Nagaland recorded 39 new Covid-19 positive cases on Monday, taking the state’s tally to 11,418.

This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.

‘39 positive cases of Covid-19 were detected today (Monday): Kohima-23, Tuensang-9, Dimapur-6, and Kiphire-1. Also, five positive patients have recovered from Kohima,’ tweeted the minister.

According to information provided by the Health department, Nagaland currently has 576 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 517 are asymptomatic, 40 mild, 14 moderate on oxygen and six critical in ICU.

The state has also recorded 10,658 recoveries and 66 deaths, out which seven have been ruled ‘not Covid-related’.

In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Kohima leads with 328 cases, followed by Dimapur-154, Tuensang-41, Mon-24, Peren-20, four each in Wokha and Kiphire, and Mokokchung-2, while Phek Zunheboto and Longleng have zero cases.
