Nagaland Covid-19 update: 33 new cases detected; tally stands at 11820

Nagaland recorded 33 new Covid-19 positive cases on Thursday, taking the state’s tally to 11,820.

This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.

‘33 positive cases of Covid-19 were detected today (Thursday): Dimapur-11, five each in Kohima and Mokokchung, Mon and two each in Peren and Phek-1. Also, 23 positive patients have recovered: Kohima-14, Peren-6 and Dimapur-3,’ tweeted the minister. 

According to information provided by the Health department, Nagaland currently has 547 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 506 are asymptomatic, 26 mild, 10 moderate on oxygen, four severe on oxygen and one on ventilator.

The state has also recorded 11,071 recoveries and 73 deaths, out of which 10 are ‘not Covid-related’.

In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Kohima leads with 294 cases, followed by Dimapur-156, Mokokchung-38, Peren-19, Kiphire-14, Mon-13, Tuensang-9, Wokha-3, and Phek-1, while Zunheboto and Longleng have zero cases.
