Dimapur, Dec. 9 (EMN): Nagaland’s Covid-19 tally has reached 11,508 as 29 new positive cases were detected on Wednesday.
The daily Covid-19 update from the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, informed that out of the 29 new cases detected on Wednesday, 14 were in Dimapur, 11 in Kohima, three in Wokha and one in Tuensang.
The update added that 62 patients have recovered: Kohima-36, Dimapur-17, and Peren-9.
According to information provided by the Heath department, Nagaland currently has 589 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 543 are asymptomatic, 34 mild, seven moderate on oxygen, two critical (ICU) without oxygen, and three critical (ICU) on ventilator.
The state also has recorded 10,728 recoveries and 60 deaths so far, out of which seven have been ruled 'not Covid-related'.
In terms of district-wise distribution of active Covid cases, Kohima leads with 329, followed by Dimapur with 172, Tuensang-42, Mon-24, Peren-8, Wokha-6, Kiphire-4 and two each in Mokokchung and Zunheboto, while Longleng and Phek are currently Covid-free.
