Dimapur, July 12 (EMN): Twenty-three more cases of Covid-19 positive have been reported on July 12, Sunday, taking the total tally of the state to 771.
This was informed by the minister of Health, S Pangnyu Phom, through a social media update on Sunday morning.
"23 new positive cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed. 18 in Dimapur, 4 in Phek, 1 in Kohima," the minister tweeted on Sunday.
Till date, Health authorities in Nagaland have declared 313 patients as ‘recovered’ and there were 458 active cases in the state and no death till date.
It may be mentioned that Nagaland recorded its first Covid-19 positive cases on May 25 when three returnees tested positive for the virus.
As of July 12, Peren has the highest cases among the districts with 139 active cases, followed by Dimapur with 101 active cases; Kohima has 95 active cases; Mon has 76 cases; Tuensang has 25 cases; Phek has 16 cases, while Mokokchung has four cases, and Wokha and Zunheboto has one case respectively.
As per the severity of the symptoms, 454 active cases are asymptomatic and four active cases are mild.
