Nagaland Covid-19 update: 178 new cases detected, tally stands at 10366

Dimapur, Nov. 18 (EMN): Nagaland’s Covid-19 tally has reached 10,366 as 178 new cases were detected on Wednesday.

An update from the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, informed that out of 178 new cases detected, 158 were in Dimapur, Tuensang-13, Kohima-5, and Peren-2. He added that the state also registered 58 recoveries — Kohima-30 and Dimapur-28.

According to information provided by the Health department, Nagaland currently has 1251 active cases, out of which 1207 are asymptomatic, 22 mild, 13 moderate on oxygen, three severe on oxygen, four critical without oxygen and two critical on ventilator.

The state has also recorded 8955 recoveries so far and 48 deaths (excluding six deaths that have been ruled ‘not Covid-related’).

In terms of district-wise distribution of active Covid cases, Dimapur leads with 686, followed by Kohima-349, Peren-143, Mon-33, Tuensang-26, Mokokchung-7, Phek-6 and Zunheboto-1, while Kiphire, Longleng and Wokha have zero cases.
