Dimapur, Oct. 23 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 140 new Covid-19 positive cases on Friday, taking the state’s tally to 8436.
This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.
‘140 positive cases of Covid-19 were detected today (Friday); Dimapur-118, Kohima-16, Mokokchung and Zunheboto two each, Wokha and Tuensang one each. Also, 101 positive patients have recovered; Kohima-52, Dimapur-46 and Longleng-3,’ tweeted the minister.
According to information provided by the Health department, Nagaland has 1837 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1754 are asymptomatic, 59 mild, 17 moderate on oxygen, four severe on oxygen and three on ventilator. The state has also recorded 6500 recoveries and 28 deaths, out which six are declared ‘not Covid-related’.
In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 active cases, Dimapur leads with 1382 cases, followed by Kohima-285, Mokokchung-61, Mon-55, Peren-21,Tuensang-20, Zunheboto-9, Kiphire-3 and Wokha-1, while Phek and Longleng have zero cases so far.
