Nagaland Covid-19 update: 135 new cases detected, tally stands at 9885

Nagaland recorded 135 new Covid-19 positive cases on Sunday, taking the state’s tally to 9885.

This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.

‘135 positive cases of Covid-19 were detected today: Kohima-71, Dimapur-53, Tuensang-9, and one each in Kiphire and Mon. Also, 20 positive patients have recovered; Kohima-18, Dimapur and Tuensang one each,’ tweeted the minister.

According to the information provided by the Health department, Nagaland currently has 916 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 862 are asymptomatic, 22 mild, 14 moderate on oxygen, 13 severe on oxygen and five critical in ICU. The state has also recorded 8814 recoveries and 52 deaths, out which six are ‘not Covid-related’.

In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 540 cases, followed by Kohima-258, Mon-87, Tuensang-12, Peren-8, Mokokchung-7, Phek-3, and Zunheboto-1, while Kiphire, Wokha and Longleng have zero cases so far.
