Nagaland Covid-19 update: 118 new cases detected; tally breaches 5000-mark

Dimapur, Sep. 12 (EMN): The total number of Covid-19 cases in Nagaland has breached 5000-mark as the state recorded 118 new cases on Saturday, a day after witnessing highest single-day spike with 310 positive cases.
The state’s Covid-19 tally has now increased to 5064.
The minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, updated on Saturday evening that out of 609 samples received, 118 were Covid-19 positive.
According to the information provided by the Health department till the time of filing this report, the state has 1221 active Covid-19 cases, 3822 recoveries and eight deaths.
In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 732 active cases each, followed by Kohima-406, Mon-24, Tuensang-16, Mokokchung-14, Kiphire-11, Zunheboto-4, Peren-3, Wokha-2, and Phek- 1. Longleng district is currently coronavirus-free.
