Nagaland Contractors' & Suppliers' Union celebrates advent Christmas-cum-50 years of thanksgiving in Kohima village

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) celebrated advent Christmas-cum-50 years of NCSU thanksgiving and Best Traffic Awards 2025 at Pele Khezhie Stadium, Riiziezou D' Khel, Kohima village, on the night of December 13.
The NCSU president Pele Khezhie stated that industrial activities in Nagaland are limited to construction works and appealed for support to advance developmental activities in the state, the union stated in a press release.
Khezhie also informed that Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways, will attend the golden jubilee celebration of the NCSU in early part of 2026.
He called upon the NCSU members to stay united and put concerted effort towards the successful celebration of the upcoming golden jubilee.
The president further extended Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2026 to the people of Nagaland.
Kohima Superintendent of Police (SP) Krodi Rhetso, complimented the NCSU for attaining 50 years.
“Your contribution and service to the people of Nagaland is immense,” the SP said.

Rhetso also urged upon the NCSU to involve local engineers, architect and local youth in the construction activities to boost the local economy.
The police officer appreciated the NCSU for instituting Best Traffic Award as a yearly affair, describing it as a big morale boost for traffic personnel to provide better service to the people.
Rev. Velavoyi Keyho, pastor of Phezoucha Nagamese Baptist Church, the speaker for the event, asked the gathering to come closer to God.
He also called upon the people the spread the message of care, love and peace during Christmas.
“Whatever you do, put God first," he added.
Meanwhile, Khrievotuo-ii Zumvii of North Traffic Control and Nuseta Medeo of South Traffic Control, Kohima, received the Best Traffic Awards 2025 in female and male categories, respectively.
The programme was chaired by KL Setuo Rutsa, vice president of NCSU, while welcome address was delivered by NCSU secretary Tseibu Khesoh.
Inato Assume presented a special number.
NCSU advisors T Yanger Imchen and SK Rengma pronounced invocation and benediction, respectively.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Hoshito Assumi.
