DIMAPUR — The minority wing of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) on Friday thanked the electorates of Nagaland for their support by enabling its candidate, S Supongmeren Jamir, win the recently held Lok Sabha election.

Briefing media person at Congress Bhavan in Dimapur, the chairman of Nagaland Congress Minority department, Javed Sarwar, assured to work for the betterment of the people.

Rajesh Kumar Sethi, the national coordinator of Minority department, described S Supongmeren Jamir's victory as miraculous and thanked the people of Nagaland for their support. Terming the victory as a great blessing, he stated that Congress party will continue to work for the people.

While mentioning that India bloc fell short of a majority, he however stated that their performance in the Lok Sabha election was very satisfying. He added that Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra was highly successful, resulting in Congress winning two Lok Sabha seats in Manipur and one in Nagaland.
