KOHIMA — Nagaland successfully conducted the State Educational Achievement Survey (SEAS) for 1643 schools covering classes III, VI and IX.
An update from the department of school education informed that the survey was conducted to assess the learning levels of students and overall health of the state education system.
The SEAS 2023 was conducted for all the states/UTs in the country.
It stated that the survey involved 1810 field investigators for conducting the survey.
On Friday, the state-level monitoring team led by Kevileno Angami, Commissioner and Secretary of School Education and State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT); Temsunaro Aier, State Mission Director of Samagra Shiksha, and Asano Sekhose, Chairman of Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE), visited schools in Kohima district to monitor the survey.
Officials from NBSE, Directorate of School Education (DoSE) and Samagra Shiksha were deputed to various districts from October 30, 2023, to monitor and assist the district and block coordinators for SEAS 2023.
Furthermore, the department informed that the scanning of OMR sheets will take place in the districts for 36833 students to be completed by November 8, 2023, and subsequently the final survey report will be prepared for all the states and UTs by NCERT, New Delhi.
