Nagaland collects INR 38 crore GST revenue during August

Dimapur, Sep. 1 (EMN): The GST revenue collected in Nagaland in the month of August 2022 stood at INR 38 crore, an increase of 18% as compared to GST revenue in the same month in 2021, stated a PIB release.

As per the Ministry of Finance, Assam collected the highest GST revenue among the Northeast states during the month of August 2022 as compared to August 2021. Assam collected INR 1,055 crore, an increase of 10% followed by Sikkim with INR 247 crore (13% growth).

Meghalaya settled at INR 147 crore (23% growth), Arunachal Pradesh stood at INR 59 crore (11% growth), Mizoram at INR 28 crore (78% growth) and Tripura at INR 56 with zero percent growth. Among the Northeast states, only Manipur registered negative growth (22%) after collecting INR 35 crore, it stated.

Overall, the country’s gross GST revenue collected in the month of August 2022 stood at INR 1, 43,612 crore, which is 28% higher than the GST revenues in the same month in 2021, which was INR 1,12,020 crore.

Of the INR 1,43,612 crore gross GST revenue, CGST stood at INR 24,710 crore, SGST at INR 30,951 crore, IGST at INR 77,782 crore, (including INR 42,067 crore collected on import of goods) and Cess at INR 10,168 crore (including INR 1,018 crore collected on import of goods).

The government has settled INT 29,524 crore to CGST and INR 25,119 crore to SGST from IGST. The total revenue of centre and the states in the month of August 2022 after regular settlement was INR 54,234 crore for CGST and INR 56,070 crore for the SGST, the release added.
