Nagaland Chief Secretary discusses developmental projects with officials from Japan

Dimapur, June 1 (EMN): A team of officials from the Japan Embassy and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) called on Nagaland Chief Secretary J Alam in Kohima on Wednesday and discussed various developmental projects like Smart City Kohima, Medical College Kohima, Eco Park, plastic waste management, water harvesting, plantation of trees, disaster management, and better road connectivity in the state.

Alam assured the visiting delegations of all necessary assistance to ease implementation of projects, said an update from DIPR.

“The visiting delegations urged the government to lift certain restrictions for easy transferring of the mortal remains of Japanese soldiers. The objective of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is to contribute to the promotion of international cooperation by contributing to the development of the economy and society and economic stability of overseas regions,” it said.
