Kohima, Aug. 1 (EMN): A top official, who served in the chief minister's office, government of Nagaland, resigned on July 31.
Priyang Pandey, who held the post of political advisor in the chief minister's office, tendered his resignation letter on Friday.
"I wish to inform that I am resigning from the post of Political Adviser in the Chief Minister's office, Government of Nagaland," wrote Pandey in his resignation letter dated July 31 addressed to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio
"I wish to take this opportunity to thank you and the entire team of Government of Nagaland for providing me a platform to learn about public policy and government functioning effectively,” the letter read.
However, the officer did not cite any specific reasons for his resignation.
In March 2018, Pandey was appointed as OSD to the government of Nagaland, Home department, with its headquarters at Nagaland House, New Delhi. Prior to his appointment order, the deputy chief minister had in a letter requested to appoint Pandey as OSD in the government of Nagaland.
Meanwhile, CM Rio took to Twitter to express his gratitude to Pandey for his service.
Pandey replied saying that he would cherish his stint in CM's office.
Deputy CM Y Patton also thanked Pandey for his service to the state as a political advisor in the Chief Minister's Office.
