Nagaland Chief Minister extends festive greetings to Phom, Konyak, Chang communities
Dimapur, March 31 (EMN): Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Thursday conveyed festive greetings to Phom, Konyak, Chang communities that are celebrating Phom Monyu, Aoleang and Kündanglüm festivals respectively.
Taking to Twitter, Rio greeted the Phom community on the occasion of Phom Monyu. “May we exhibit the true spirit of the festival which is love, friendship and forgiveness and may the Almighty bless us with a bountiful harvest,” he said.
“Aoleang greetings to the Konyak community. May our prayers for a bountiful harvest of crops be answered and may we forge ahead with renewed vigour into the coming year. I wish you all a happy Aoleang,” he wrote in another update.
Conveying Kündanglüm greetings to the Chang community, the chief minister also wrote: “Traditional festivals enable us to uphold the tradition of teaching our rich customary practices to the younger generation. May the festival be celebrated in the best of health and spirit.”
