Nagaland Chief Minister, Dy CM extend Langsimnyi greetings
DIMAPUR — Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Dy CM TR Zeliang have conveyed greetings to the Zeliang community on the occasion of Langsimnyi/ Chaga Gadi festival, which is celebrated to thank God for the bountiful harvest and good life.
“Warm greetings to the Zeliang community as you celebrate Langsimnyi. May God continue to bless the labour of your hands and the festivity nurture deeper relationships, strengthen bonds, and your homes be filled with peace and happiness,” wrote Rio on X.
Highlighting the significance of the festival, Dy CM Zeliang, in his message, said that it not only marks the joy over a successful harvest but also acknowledges the vital role played by Zeliang women in sustaining families and communities through their unwavering hard work. He emphasised that the festival promotes a sense of togetherness among kinsmen and women.
He also expressed hope that the occasion would foster a deeper respect for women, strengthen the bonds of fraternity, and contribute to peace, unity, and prosperity in the days ahead.
He went on to encourage everyone to come together to appreciate the fruits of their labour and celebrate the spirit of togetherness.
