Nagaland Chamber Choir gives back through ‘Blessed to Bless’

In pursuance of its commitment towards sponsoring underprivileged children/orphans commemorating the 10th anniversary, the Nagaland Chamber Choir, organised a special function on December 20 at Hotel Tragopan, Dimapur. In its venture, three children – Ms Abale Nandu, Ms Rachel, Ms Akatoli were selected from Wondang Ki, Ebenezer Children’s Home, and Prodigals Home. A financial assistance of Rs 10,000 was given to each sponsored child to cover the educational expenses for a year.
TNCC also donated Rs 5000 to Special Olympics Bharat Nagaland as a show of solidarity for the dedicated services being rendered by the non-profit organisation towards differently-abled children.
Dr Lima, co-ordinator of TNCC gave an introduction about the project ‘Blessed to Bless’, a giving-back initiative acknowledging God’s bountiful blessing on TNCC.
NT Kikon, Director of Wondang Ki, Maong Jamir, Asstt director of Prodigals Home, Teplol Amri, administrator of Ebenezer Children’s Home, Victor Murry, president of Special Olympics Bharat Nagaland, enlightened and encouraged the gathering by relating the nature of their work, hardships encountered, and the joy and satisfaction in doing something for the marginalised section of society.
The fellowship was led by Ms T Renthunglo; presentation of sponsorship was conducted by Jethro Merry; words of gratitude were delivered by Ms P Aienla Longkumer; benediction was pronounced by NT Kikon.
