CAN Youth distributes Ayurveda medicine
Beneficiaries and resource persons during the programme on April 23.

Dimapur, April 25 (EMN): CAN Youth in collaboration with Regional Ayurveda Research Centre (RARC), Dimapur organised a camp and distributed Ayurveda medicine at Community Hall, Phaipijang Village on April 23.

The session was facilitated by Sentiwati, program manager, Can Youth, where he shared about the skills and opportunities being provided by the NGO and highlighted about the programme, an update informed.

Dr. Neetu S Mohan from RARC spoke on lifestyle disorder management and maintaining a healthy diet. Speaking on the food habits of the Northeast people, she shared that consumption of chilly is common among the North-eastern people and mentioned about the disadvantages of excessive chilli consumption causing various diseases like gastritis, blood pressure etc.

She advised the community people to minimise chilly intake for health benefits. She also gave an awareness about the usage of medicine without proper consultation, which is hazardous for health.

The programme was attended by community leaders and youth leaders. A total of 56 sets of medicines were distributed to the youths and community members of Phaipijang village by interns from St. Joseph University.
