Nagaland: Business community pertinent in combating the pandemic

Dimapur, Sep.22 (EMN): The business community has a significant role to play during this pandemic. Dr. K Akaho Sema, Dy. CMO, Zunheboto stated this during an awareness programme on Covid-19 held in the ZCCI office at Zunheboto town on September 21, an update stated. 

Sema encouraged the community to fight the pandemic by wearing masks, proper hand washing and social distancing. He said that it is ‘understandable that there is confusion, anxiety, and fear among the public.’ He urged the public for co-operation stating that ‘corona is here to stay with us and we’ve to learn to live with it.’

He also stated that Covid-19 is a public health emergency that is causing a stressful and a difficult time for everyone. ‘Let’s be kind to each other and help stop the spread of coronavirus. Let’s support our family, friends, neighbours and frontline responders in the fight against Covid-19,’ he said.

The meeting was attended by the business community of Zunheboto town. Kikheto Muru, president of ZCCI chaired the meeting.
