Nagaland BJYM conducts executive meeting

Dimapur, Jan. 7 (EMN):  The executive meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Nagaland Pradesh was conducted on January 5 at the residence of its president, Benjamin Yepthomi.

A press release from the party on Monday stated that the state organising secretary, Ananta Narayan Mishra, presented a brief history of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) dating back to 1951 with a party known as Bharatiya Jana Sangh founded by Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. He also stressed on how BJP, with only two seats in 1984, managed to get 282 seats in 2014. He cited that BJP focuses on “all round development and the world’s largest political party with an ideology to take India at the top in world ranking.”

Northeast co-in charge, Arvind Damani, spoke on the important schemes of National Democratic Alliance government for poor and rural areas like Jan Dhan, Ujjwala, Skill India, Swachh Bharat, Start up India etc.

Conveying warm greetings, state BJP president, Temjen Imna Along said, ‘Nagaland state is yet to harness the immense potential of a vibrant educated and dynamic youths of this young generation. He urged the youth workers to go to the villages, towns, and into each and every nook and corner of the state and let the youth know the Initiatives of BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.’

Delivering presidential address, Benjamin Yepthomi urged the state BJYM workers to be sincere and commit to the responsibilities assigned to them. “Not by words but by work we should show to the people about our commitment for all round development of the state and as youth, who are the backbone of the society, we should be harbinger of peace, unity and development,” he said.

State BJYM president also appointed district in-charges of all districts for effective functioning of the youth wing.

State vice president, Subenthung Kithan, also encouraged the youth leaders not to be swayed away by some political ‘gimmicks and rumours’ that about the party.
