Dimapur, March 31 (EMN): A team of BJP legislators from Nagaland led by the deputy chief minister and BLP leader, Y Patton, met the Assam minister and convenor of North East Democratic Alliance (Neda) Himanta Biswa Sarma at Guwahati on March 30
An update from the deputy CMO stated that the delegation had a meaningful discussion on various issues pertaining to both the states and shared visions of BJP for the progress and development of Northeast India initiated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi including India’s Act East policy which would immensely benefit the region.
The team also thanked the people of Assam for giving opportunity to the BJP for the last five years, which has taken development in every nook and corner of the state. While congratulating the Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and his minister and Neda convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma for the fast track progress of the state of Assam on all fronts, the delegation also extended best wishes to the BJP in the ongoing assembly elections and expressed hope that BJP in Assam would come back stronger with a landslide victory.
Meanwhile, it stated that the Neda Convenor has thanked the delegation for their visit and remarked that the goodwill mission would be seen as a good sign of unity and strength within the party in the region.
Patton was accompanied by minister Kashiho Sangtam, advisors Dr. Longrineken, Kazheto Kinimi and H Haying.
