Nagaland BJP flags off car and bike rally
Dimapur, June 1 (EMN): To mark the completion of eight years of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rule at the centre, the Nagaland BJP launched the “Seva sushasan aur gareeb kalian parv” by organising a car and bike rally on Wednesday. The rally was flagged off by the former chairman of Dimapur Muncipal Council (DMC), Kuhoi Zhimomi.
The rally started from Holohon BOC and proceeded towards Shokhuvi station and to Patkai Bridge four lane road towards Assam.
Kashito Kiba, convenor of state professional cell, informed that the central BJP has directed the state to have 15-day activities.
Hosheto Awomi, president of BJP yuva morcha Nagaland, updated that as per the direction of the national present BJP, Jagat Prakash Nadda, and under the leadership of Nagaland BJP president, Temjen Imna Along and the deputy chief minister, Y Patton, the BJP Nagaland would be organising a fortnight programme from June 1-15 to be dedicated for “Modi government 8 years: Seva sushasan aur gareeb kalian parv” (service, good governance and welfare of the people). During the fortnight, various programmes and activities would be carried out across the state, he updated.
The activities would include bike rally in all the districts by BJYM Nagaland, state-wide activity like cleanliness drive, tree plantations with massive participation from districts, madal and booth level, launching of book and pamphlet and outreach programme by minority morcha, create an awareness through audio visual highlighting various schemes by IT cell, and tribal mela-cum-closing ceremony to be organised by ST Morcha in Kohima, he informed.
He added that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has dedicated all these years for the uplift of exploited, deprived, Scheduled Cast, Schedule Tribes and Backward classes.
Zhimomi also congratulated the party worker for their tireless dedication to the party. NK Naga, bollywood playback singer, also performed the official theme song for BJP upcoming election during the launch programme.
